“When I founded our company in 1977, no one used the term “sustainability” - but with the exhibition systems we manufactured and sold, our customers were able to improve their appearances even back then .
Today, decades later, system parts from that time are still in use!
The topic became more intense in the early 1990s. Within our trade associations, we produced a brochure on the topic of"Sustainability in the trade fair industry"“ erarbeitet.
Here you can read the scanned brochure from 1994. (PDF, 3MB)
Auch in Vorträgen und anderen Veröffentlichungen haben wir die Wichtigkeit von nachhaltigem Messe-Management propagiert.
In particular, the effects of conception and design on all areas of our work became increasingly clear to us and determined our actions.
Sustainability with its three pillars (economy, ecology, social issues) is now the defining criterion of our business policy and is not only supported, but lived by the staff, the MEISSNER EXPO family."
"Sustainability is a joint task. As a family business, we are clearly aware of our responsibility towards future generations and the environment in which we work.
If we at MEISSNER EXPO do our best and make events more environmentally friendly and resource-efficient through thoughtful actions and concrete measures, that is a good start.
However, we must act with courage and conviction at all levels! That is why constructive exchange with our customers and within our network is so important to us.
Constantly reflect, rethink, inspire each other, develop good ideas further and then implement them concretely.
This motivates me to keep getting better! Let's set an example together!"
The future needs attitude.
We have always thought in terms of long-term solutions. As a founding member of the FAMAB Foundation, supporters of the Foundation Development and Climate Alliance and with the goal of obtaining the ISO 20121-Certificate for sustainable event management , we have been taking responsibility for decades.
We were already actively involved in developing the first industry standards back in the 1990s. Since 2013, we have been certified as a sustainable company – with a binding code of conduct.
